The airlines Swiss and Lufthansa will equip additional aircraft with premium economy seats from Zim Aircraft Seating. The two carriers have chosen the Zim Privacy PC-02 model.

With the crane, the successor model to the Zim Magic PC-01 is to be installed in 19 Boeing 747-8s. At Swiss, nine Airbus A330s will be fitted with these seats. According to the manufacturer, the premium economy armchairs should be individually adjusted. The new premium economy seat Zim PC-02 will be installed in Q1/2022 at Swiss (A340 and B777) and in the future also for Lufthansa in the new B777-9, A350 and B787.

The new seat has a variety of features designed to improve the overall passenger experience and comfort. The PC-02 scores with good mechanical kinematics that are enclosed in a solid backrest shell structure. Furthermore, the privacy screen should ensure increased privacy. The Zim Privacy also includes a variety of other amenities such as individually adjustable armrests, a cocktail table, a one-piece dining table, a personal reading light, mood lighting and an extra large IFE screen.
