Finland is the first European country to react to the increasing number of corona cases in Austria. As of Monday, the Alpine republic will be on the red list, which means that people entering Finland have to be quarantined for 14 days.
According to a message from the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Switzerland and Slovenia were also put on the red list shortly afterwards. There are no changes for Germany, Italy, Hungary and Greece. The states mentioned are still classified as safe.
Shortly afterwards, the Finnish Foreign Ministry also announced that travelers coming from Austria would have to be quarantined for a fortnight. The African country also removed Austria from the green list. It is currently unclear whether other states will take similar steps.
