The Reblaus Express, the popular rail connection between the Weinviertel and Waldviertel, offers guests a relaxed journey to the nostalgic fair in Drosendorf on August 4, 2024. Under the motto "Like back in the Waldviertel", the traditional festival promises music, dancing and fair magic for all age groups. Sports enthusiasts can also look forward to the Pleißinger Wunschlauf on August 31.

Deputy Governor Udo Landbauer stresses the importance of the Reblaus Express as an important lifeline for the region, which brings visitors safely and comfortably to regional events and excursion destinations. Attractive combination offers are intended to make the summer season an unforgettable experience for locals, families and guests. The Reblaus Express runs between Retz and Drosendorf on all weekends and public holidays from May 1 to October 27. From July 5 to August 30, trains also run on Fridays. Special "sunset trips" take place on all Fridays in July.

The charming, nostalgic carriage of the Reblaus Express allows for a stress-free journey along the 40-kilometer route. However, the free transport of bicycles requires a prior reservation of a parking space. Lower Austria Railways Managing Director Barbara Komarek emphasizes the popularity of the Heurigen and bicycle carriages, which make numerous excursion options such as the Retzer Erlebniskeller and Drosendorf attractive for day and holiday guests.

Special trips are planned for the pre-Christmas period: On December 7th, two special trains will travel from Vienna to the Retzer Advent, accompanied by Santa Claus, and on December 24th by the Christ Child. Climate Ticket holders travel at a reduced rate. Further information and the timetable are available on the Reblaus Express website.
