The private railway company Regiojet wants to expand more in the area of night trains. Germany and Austria also play a major role in this. For example, a connection from Berlin via Prague, Vienna and Graz to Zagreb and Ljubljana is to be launched in December 2022.

According to company information, the necessary routes have already been requested from the national regulatory authorities. The aim is for the connection to start with the timetable change in December 2022. The night train is scheduled to leave the German capital at around 18:43 p.m. and then travel to Ljubljana via Dresden, Prague, Vienna and Maribor. It is envisaged that there will be a division of the train. One half will go to the Slovenian capital and the other half will go to Zagreb.

As early as summer 2022, a night train connection from Prague via Dresden and Berlin to Amsterdam and Brussels is to be launched in cooperation with the start-up European Sleeper. The rolling stock comes from Regiojet, but European Sleeper and the Czech railway company want to take care of the marketing together. Three courses per week per direction are planned on this route. Regiojet already offers night trains within the Czech Republic.

Regiojet and European Sleeper are planning another night connection as an extension of an existing route. In the future, these trains will also be used to travel to Warsaw. In addition, a set that currently only operates within the Czech Republic will continue to travel via Berlin to the Polish capital. The start is planned for the timetable change in December 2022.
