New landing ban for UK pilots

Advertising

Due to the spread of variant B.1.617.2 of the coronavirus, which was first discovered in India, Austria has again imposed a landing ban for aircraft from Great Britain.

As of June 1, aircraft from the United Kingdom will no longer be allowed to land in Austria, according to a regulation by the Ministry of Health. In addition, Great Britain is already on the list of virus variant areas today.

As in the case of Brazil, India and South Africa, entry from the United Kingdom is only possible to a limited extent. In essence, only Austrian citizens and persons with residence or habitual abode in Austria are allowed to enter.
