Romania: Hisky enters domestic business

The airline Hisky will enter the Romanian domestic market in early May 2022. So far, the carrier has only offered international flights, mainly from Iasi. This will change on May 9, 2022, when there will be flights from Bucharest to Cluj and Timisoara.

An Airbus A320 from Hisky is already parked at the Romanian Airport Cluj. The engines are still covered. From May 9, 2022, this airline wants to fly ten times a week between the capital and Cluj. Between Monday and Friday should be flown in the double edge of the day.

Likewise, they want to connect Timisoara with Bucharest. The planned frequencies are identical, but they will also be matched with the low-cost airline Ryanair. Therefore, it remains to be seen whether the Romanian domestic market offers enough potential for two low-cost airlines on this route. In the past, Blue Air domestic was not very successful.
