The Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology was able to produce the award for the climate protection efforts of Salzburg Airport. Salzburg Airport was already crowned with this award in 2014 and 2017, this year it was able to build on the years 2014 and 2017 again.

The Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology was able to recognize and reward the climate protection efforts of Salzburg Airport. The airport received an award for its climate protection efforts, which it received in 2014 and 2017.

“I am very pleased that the climate protection minister honored our airport. It represents an appreciation for our airport, which is making many efforts towards net CO2 neutrality by 2040. The package of measures also includes converting our vehicle fleet to alternative drives. This is supported by the purchase of the electric high loader. It is an important step on our way to net CO2 neutrality, even if it is only a small building block in our environmental master plan that we are consistently pursuing," says Airport Managing Director Bettina Ganghofer.
