The Hungarian low-cost airline celebrated itself as a corona comeback pioneer in Salzburg just a few weeks ago. In the meantime, however, the carrier has quietly made the fly out of the city of Mozart. This is mainly due to the destinations offered, as these are all subject to quarantine when entering the destination country or when returning to Austria.

The connection to St. Petersburg in Russia, which Wizzair has so much announced, has not yet been established. The carrier was supposed to be flying on this route since September. The new date has now been provisionally announced December 4, 2020 with four weekly rotations. However, this seems rather unlikely due to the tough entry and quarantine regulations on both sides.

A weekly Kiev flight has been announced for December 19, 2020 as the second destination in the winter flight schedule. Here, too, the admission seems questionable, because entry into the Ukraine is possible, but there are numerous requirements - among other things, travel insurance must be presented in addition to the negative corona test, which covers Covid-19 treatments in the Ukraine and on top of that sees them Condition stipulates that the insurance industry must have a branch in Ukraine - difficult or impossible to fulfill. In any case, quarantine can flourish in Austria.

The other destinations (Tuzla, Varna, Skopje, Bucharest, Belgrade and Larnaka) will only be served again in the summer flight schedule 2021 and have been announced for resumption at the end of March 2021. Wizzair does not currently fly to Salzburg Airport at all. In contrast to Vienna, planes and personnel are not stationed in Mozart's city.
