On August 26, Saudi Arabian Airlines celebrated its 55th anniversary of operation at Frankfurt Airport. The airline organized an event at Frankfurt Airport and surprised its guests with a celebration on the ground and an in-flight announcement by the captain. At the specially decorated check-in counter, passengers received a gift bag and gold-plated coins as giveaways.

In 2022, the airline carried a total of 45.499 passengers on 658 flights to and from Frankfurt. The total distance flown to and from Frankfurt this year is 2.765.779 miles and the total number of flight hours is 3.829. Saudi Arabia Airlines serves Frankfurt Airport with a Boeing 787 (Dreamliner).

“The celebrations of our 55th anniversary of flight operations in Frankfurt are a special occasion for us. We are very proud to connect Saudi Arabia to Germany seven days a week and to offer travelers from Germany our premium flight experience. We look forward to the next 55 years of flight operations in Frankfurt and to welcoming our guests from Germany to experience SAUDIA on the ground and on board and enjoy a unique flying experience in all classes,” said Hisham Bindkhail, Regional SAUDIA Manager in Europe.

The carrier currently operates the route Frankfurt - Jeddah four times a week (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday) and Frankfurt - Riyadh three times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday).
