The Irish IAG group member had to cancel numerous flights in the last two days. The background is that the company is currently suffering from an acute shortage of staff. So far, the carrier has had to cancel 18 flights to/from Dublin on Wednesday and Thursday.

The company said: "Due to an increase in Covid cases, Aer Lingus is forced to cancel six return flights from Dublin today. In addition, due to a mandate from the London Heathrow Airport Authority, a return flight to Dublin Heathrow tomorrow 30 June has also been cancelled”.

Connections to Germany were also affected. Among other things, the flights to Frankfurt am Main, Munich and Hamburg have been cancelled. The afternoon flight to Berlin-Brandenburg also had to be canceled on Thursday.
