After almost two years of abstinence, the airline confirms the return of its Airbus A380 in Frankfurt from March 28 of next year.

The popular superjumbo will again be used for daily flights between Singapore, Frankfurt and New York's JFK Airport. With the A380R (retrofit), the newest cabins are coming to Germany that were previously unavailable on this route. While international air traffic is gradually recovering from the consequences of the pandemic, the return of the A380 to Frankfurt also coincides with the 10th anniversary of the use of the superjumbo on these routes. The A380 will be used on the SQ25 / 26 flights from Singapore via Frankfurt to New York (JFK). As part of the VTL (Vaccinated Travel Lane) regulation, the Frankfurt - Singapore route from Frankfurt is designated as a quarantine-free route.

“We are proud that the A380 is returning to Frankfurt and that we can offer our customers our latest flagship, the award-winning first-class suite and the new business class. A special highlight are our seats in Premium Economy Class and Economy Class, which were manufactured by German companies. We look forward to welcoming our guests on board the A380 soon, ”said Alastair Hay-Campbell, General Manager of Singapore Airlines in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
