Slovenian airline Solinair has applied to the US Department of Transportation for permission to operate cargo charter flights to the United States of America. According to the application, they want to do this themselves or have it carried out by certified subcontractors.

Once Slovenia has been inspected by the FAA and certified as a Category 1 country, the company may move to self-operating. The country currently has no IASA category as it has never undergone a full FAA audit, reports CH-Aviation.com.

Solinair declined to comment on the reporting. The fleet currently consists of two Airbus A300-600RF. According to CH-Aviation.com, another machine is rented from the Turkish sister company MNG Airlines. Among other things, you work for DHL Express.
