The Slovenian government wants to decide by around mid-2023 whether or not to set up a new state-owned airline. The discussion has been going on since Adria Airways went bankrupt in September 2019.

Infrastructure Minister Alenka Bratušek, who is said to be a supporter of the project, told Slovenian media that she expects a decision on whether to create a new airline or not to be made in mid-2023. She also emphasized that she had warned against selling Adria Airways to 4K Invest in the run-up to the privatization.
