Skyalps, the house brand of Bolzano Airport, has now announced that a total of seven destinations will be served in the winter flight schedule 2021/22. These are Brussels, Rotterdam, Copenhagen, London-Gatwick, Hamburg, Düsseldorf and Berlin.
The winter program, which is primarily intended to bring skiers to South Tyrol, will start in December 2021. From 13 December 2021, the destination Brussels will be served on Monday and Friday. The Rotterdam route is due to start on December 15th and will be offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Copenhagen will be on the flight schedule on Saturdays and Sundays from December 15, 2021. London-Gatwick will also be approached from this day, initially on Wednesday, although it is not yet entirely sure whether the second round should be carried out on Saturdays or Sundays.
From December 16, 2021, Skyalps wants to connect Hamburg and Düsseldorf with Bolzano on Thursdays and Sundays. Berlin will be offered on Monday and Friday from December 20, 2021. All routes are served by DHC Dash 8-400 turboprop aircraft. Since you do not have an AOC yourself, these are formally charter flights operated by the Maltese Luxwing.
Skyalps managing director Josef Gostner stated during a press conference that the tickets on the winter routes will cost between 149 euros and around 220 euros. At the same time, he emphasized that it had been said from the start that it would not set up a low-cost airline.
