Shortage of staff: Lufthansa offers flight attendants high cash rewards

Advertising

Despite many efforts, Lufthansa still seems to be short on staff. Lufthansa is now offering its flight attendants bonuses of up to 200 euros per day if they work voluntarily on their off-duty days.

The "Paddle Your Own Kanoo" portal reports, among other things, that Lufthansa has determined that it does not have enough crew members to fulfill the 2023 summer flight schedule. The use of temporary workers has so far been avoided.

Flight attendants can earn an extra 200 euros per day of use on off-duty days. In addition, there should be 250 euros per day if you report for work on days off. However, this would result in the number of rest days falling below the collectively agreed number. If the minimum number of flight attendants on a flight is not reached, there should be an extra 100 euros per person for the crew on duty. If you have to step in as a purser on long-haul routes, you should also get 100 euros.
