The summer holidays begin in Lower Saxony next Friday, ushering in a busy travel period at Münster/Osnabrück Airport. North Rhine-Westphalia will also follow suit from July 6. The FMO expects around 335.000 passengers in both states by the end of the holiday season, which represents an increase of almost 40 percent compared to last year. This means that the airport is facing its busiest summer in the last 15 years.

The top 3 destinations from FMO for summer 2024 are Palma de Mallorca, Antalya and Crete. Palma de Mallorca is served by up to six daily flights from Eurowings, Ryanair, Condor and SmartLynx Airlines. There are 33 weekly flights to Antalya during the holidays from SunExpress, Corendon Airlines, Pegasus Airlines, Mavi Gök and Air Anka. Crete is served by SmartLynx Airlines and Marabu Airlines six times a week. Rhodes, Kos and Corfu are also on the summer flight schedule to Greece.

New to the offer are Ryanair's connections to Alicante in Spain and Zadar on the Croatian Adriatic coast. Flights to the Canary Islands of Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura and to Hurghada in Egypt are also popular. GP Aviation offers up to five flights a week to Pristina in Kosovo. With Lufthansa, worldwide destinations can be reached quickly and easily.
