To mark the start of the summer holidays in Saxony and Thuringia, a total of 169 passenger planes will take off from the central German airports from Thursday to Sunday. 59 planes will take off from Dresden Airport, while Leipzig/Halle Airport will have 110 flights. In addition to German and European cities, numerous sunny destinations on the Mediterranean, Atlantic, Black and Red Seas are on the flight schedule.

84 flights to holiday destinations and 26 scheduled flights are planned at Leipzig/Halle Airport. Popular destinations are Antalya with 24 flights, Palma de Mallorca with 13 and Hurghada with eight flights. Other destinations include Burgas, Varna, Heraklion, Rhodes and Tenerife. Condor leads the list of holiday flights with 32 departures, followed by Sun Express and Freebird. 29 scheduled flights connect Leipzig/Halle with international hubs such as Frankfurt, Vienna and Istanbul.

26 holiday flights and 33 scheduled flights depart from Dresden Airport. Destinations such as Antalya and Palma de Mallorca are particularly popular. Sundair dominates holiday traffic with eight departures, while Lufthansa connects the region with Frankfurt and Munich. Eurowings and Swiss offer additional connections to Düsseldorf and Zurich.

Due to the parallel hosting of the UEFA EURO 2024 in Leipzig, passengers are requested to be at the airport at least two and a half hours before departure to ensure a smooth process.
