In Spain, there is a risk of significant disruption to road traffic from October 28. Taxi and bus drivers are planning strikes to demand better working conditions and the possibility of early retirement.

The strike is scheduled to continue on November 11, 28 and 29, and on December 5 and 6. If negotiations with the government and employers fail, an indefinite strike is threatened from December 23. According to the Spanish transport union, around 100.000 taxi drivers could take part in the protests, and city bus drivers are also expected to take part.
