With Ulrich Heppe, Stuttgart-Echterdingen Airport will have a new managing director on April 1, 2022. This follows Arina Freitag, who is leaving the company at her own request and will take on a new challenge in the energy industry.

The Supervisory Board of Flughafen Stuttgart GmbH gave the green light for the appointment of Ulrich Heppe. He will be responsible for the area of aviation and thus for traffic, controlling and finances at the state airport. Heppe will start working at Stuttgart Airport on April 01.04.2022st, XNUMX.

“I am very pleased that in Ulrich Heppe we have been able to win a nationally and internationally experienced and ambitious airport manager. He has broad expertise in aviation and in the airport sector, as well as in the financial sector. Stuttgart Airport will benefit from this experience in the further implementation of its sustainability strategy and development of its future viability, ”said Baden-Württemberg's Transport Minister Winfried Hermann (Greens).

Managing Director Walter Schoefer, who continues to act as spokesman for the management and labor director, is still responsible for the non-aviation sector, which includes real estate and transport infrastructure, the development of the Airport City and human resources.
