The low-cost airline Easyjet will significantly reduce its presence in Austria in the summer flight schedule 2021 - in direct comparison with the offer “before Corona”. The company is currently not planning to reactivate the routes from Graz and Salzburg. From Mozart's city, however, there will be flights to Germany again in winter 2021/22.
Easyjet gave Aviation Direct a first look at the routes planned for the 2021 summer flight schedule from Austrian airports. The list of routes provided shows that, as things stand, the offers from Salzburg and Graz will no longer be included in the 2021 summer flight schedule. This affects, for example, the connections to Berlin. "In principle, we are constantly reviewing our flight schedule with the aim of bringing it into line with changing travel restrictions and demand. We always reserve the right to flexibly increase our flight program if there is demand," said a spokeswoman for the company. From Salzburg, the German routes to Berlin and Hamburg will be served again in the 2021/22 winter flight schedule. The offer can already be booked, according to the carrier.
In Vienna-Schwechat, too, the carrier will start the summer flight schedule 2021 with a reduced offer. Currently only four routes from Austria's largest airport are planned. In general, Easyjet will concentrate its presence in the Alpine republic on Innsbruck and Vienna airports. The route list shown below was sent by the low-cost airline to Aviation Direct upon request and represents the planning status as of January 8, 2021. Changes are possible at any time due to the currently unclear situation regarding Corona and the entry and quarantine regulations.
