The Spanish low-cost airline Volotea will not return to Vienna in midsummer 2021. The carrier is currently planning to add the destination Nantes on September 5, 2021.
From the Spanish city of Bilbao, Volotea does not intend to fly to the Austrian capital until April 7, 2022. Both destinations are currently planned with two trips per week each. Further destinations that were offered by this lowcoster from Vienna in the past are currently not planned.
Until a few weeks ago, Volotea was the last European Boeing 717 operator. Man parted with the last machineswho were flown to the USA. Shortly afterwards it became known that the low-cost airlines some Airbus A320 in fleet. These are used aircraft.
