There will be changes on the domestic route between Innsbruck and Vienna at the start of the 2023 summer timetable period. Austrian Airlines will refrain from the currently usual night stop in Tyrol. As a result, the late evening flight to Innsbruck and the early morning flight to Vienna are omitted or replaced by other routes.

So far, Austrian Airlines has been offering an evening connection under flight number OS 913, which lands in Innsbruck at around 22:50 p.m. This is usually served with Embraer 195. The machine then "overnighted" in Tyrol and took off the following day at 6:35 a.m. as OS 914 towards Vienna. The pair of courses including Nightstop will only be offered until March 24, 2023. Both flights are frequently used by business travellers, as the morning flight catches Austrian Airlines' Viennese morning wave and can be flown back in the evening with the late wave. As an alternative, business travelers can now use the Air Dolomiti connection to the Frankfurt am Main hub, because the earliest AUA flight to Vienna will not take off in future until 8:25 a.m., because the aircraft first has to be "flown in" from Vienna as OS 915 will.

A spokeswoman told Aviation.Direct: "The night stop OS913/4 will be replaced by the early course OS915/6. In this way we continue to adequately serve the point-to-point demand ex INN for day trips and also ex VIE better day trips to INN are possible as a result”.

The media officer also said: “The Nightstops are primarily intended to serve business travel from the federal states in the direction of Vienna, which, however, has not yet fully recovered in demand last summer and is also currently the case. Therefore, for reasons of efficiency, the night stops will be removed from the system in the 2023 summer timetable and capacities will instead be allocated to other flight times or connections so that there is no overall reduction in the flight program offered on the Klagenfurt, Innsbruck and Graz routes".
