Summer 2024: Eurowings Discover sets course for Harstad/Narvik

The holiday airline Eurowings Discover will operate a non-stop connection between Frankfurt am Main and Harstad/Narvik (Norway) in the summer timetable. According to the company, this is the only direct connection from Germany.

At the same time, it is also the first destination to be served by the Lufthansa subsidiary in Norway. The first flight is scheduled for May 16, 2024. For the time being, this route is limited until September 8, 2024. Medium-haul jets of the Airbus A320 type are to be used as aircraft. These will run between the two airports on Thursday and Sunday. Travel time is around three hours.

The municipality is located in northern Norway and is an ideal starting point for a trip to Lofoten. The Norwegian archipelago, which stretches over around 1300 square kilometers and 80 islands, is a dream destination in the North Sea and is particularly popular with travelers from Germany. The Lufthansa Group is thus reacting to the great demand from tour operators and end customers for non-stop connections to this region. So far, the remote group of islands from Germany can only be reached by a transfer connection.

Despite the location in the far north, travelers can look forward to mild temperatures in summer. The archipelago is located between 100 and 300 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle in the Atlantic and is known for its diverse and untouched landscape.
