The Cypriot shipping company Swan Hellenic is also sending an expedition cruise ship, which is supposed to score with special luxury, out to sea. The “SH Minerva” has already set sail for Antarctica and can carry a maximum of 152 passengers.

With this ship, the shipping company wants to get involved in the expedition segment. That is why the crew is provided with an appropriate team that is supposed to organize appropriate excursions and explorations with the passengers. The “SH Minerva” is 113 meters long and equipped with a reinforced polar class V hull. There are 72 cabins and suites available to passengers.

Food and drinks are served in three restaurants. In terms of wellness, this ship also has a lot to offer, for example there is a heated outdoor pool, which can also be used in freezing cold, and a sauna, which, according to the shipping company, should offer a spectacular view.

For Swan Hellenic, however, the Antarctic tours planned for this year are only the beginning of a major entry into this segment. With the “SH Vega”, a second expedition ship is to be put into service later this year. A third copy, which will be significantly larger, is to be floated in towards the end of 2022.
