The “Vegan Planet” trade fair celebrates its tenth anniversary on November 16 and 17, 2024 at the Museum of Applied Arts (MAK) in Vienna.

In recent years, the event has become a central meeting point for people interested in plant-based nutrition, sustainable fashion and vegan cosmetics. Visitors can sample a wide range of vegan delicacies, including Tyrolean dumplings, sushi, punch doughnuts and vegan raclette specialties from Switzerland.

The anniversary program includes a cooking show with Health Minister Johannes Rauch, lectures on the health benefits of a vegan diet and a panel discussion with top Austrian athletes. The fair is a sign of the growing trend towards plant-based nutrition in Austria, which, according to the "EU Smart Protein Report", has the highest proportion of people living vegan in the EU at five percent.
