Tuzla Airport handled exactly 51.426 passengers on 356 flights in August, a decrease of 24,1 percent compared to 2019.

In the period from January to August, the Bosnian airport welcomed a total of 284.133 travelers - 29,9 percent fewer than before the pandemic. Towards the end of the year, however, an upswing is expected, as reported by the online portal Ex-Yu-Aviation. The reason for the optimism is Ryanair's winter flight schedule: The Irish low-cost airline plans to offer a total of three routes from Tuzla Airport - including to Vienna. The flight plan currently consists of 15 cities in Germany, Sweden, Austria, Denmark and Switzerland. Until September 10, the airport also offered a charter connection to Antalya. In August, a total of 316.743 passengers were handled at the four commercial airports in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
