An Antonov An-26 military aircraft crashed in eastern Ukraine on Friday. According to the latest information, 25 people were killed. According to the Ukrainian civil defense, two inmates are said to have initially survived the accident, one of whom is said to have died of the consequences in a hospital. However, there is no precise and reliable information.

The machine was approaching the Chuhuiv military airport. The cause of the crash is still completely unclear. Eyewitnesses report that the machine should have gone up in flames. Whether this has already taken place in the air or on the ground - there are different information about it. According to Defense Minister Andrej Taran, the two black boxes will now be evaluated. It is only certain that the left engine of the An-26 has probably failed. The machine has been in use since 1977.
