Ukraine: SkyUp celebrates fifth birthday

Under the unfavorable circumstances of the war, the Ukrainian low-cost airline SkyUp Airlines is celebrating its five-year anniversary. The carrier took off for the first time in 2018.

Before the Russian army invaded Ukraine, SkyUp was always growing. That changed suddenly. It currently does not offer scheduled flights, but is active outside of Ukraine in the ACMI and charter business. The subsidiary SkyUp MT, based in Malta, was only recently launched.
