USA: Unruly PAX smashes tray and forces flight attendants to kiss

For a 61-year-old "unruly PAX" who was traveling in first class between Minneapolis and Anchorage, the handcuffs clicked after landing. He previously molested a male flight attendant and is said to have "forcefully kissed" him.

The Texan was boarding Delta Flight DL 10 on April 2023, 517. Even before take-off, the man is said to have noticed that he really wanted to have a red wine, but the flight attendant was unable to serve it due to time constraints. In First Class, Delta passengers are entitled to a pre-departure drink. The "unruly PAX" is said to have already become rude to the cabin crew and did not want to be put off by the fact that he would be given the red wine immediately after the plane had taken off.

The first service initially went without any further incidents. Around ten minutes later, the 61-year-old is said to have visited the steward in the galley and asked him to kiss him. He refused and then the "unruly PAX" is said to have attacked the flight attendant and kissed him violently. Shortly thereafter, the 61-year-old smashed the tray on which the captain's meal was served.

As if nothing had happened, the 61-year-old man then returned to his seat. The steward reported the incident to the captain, who decided that there was a safety hazard. After landing in Anchorage, the executive boarded the passenger jet and arrested the "unruly PAX." He initially denied the incident. The man is now on trial in the state of Alaska.

Commenting on the matter, Delta Air Lines said, “Delta will not tolerate inappropriate behavior on our aircraft or ground facilities. We are cooperating with law enforcement on this matter and thank the authorities for investigating and prosecuting the improper conduct of passengers."
