VIE: AUA flies to Shanghai twice a week again

From January 16, 2023, Austrian Airlines will once again be flying directly from Vienna to Shanghai twice a week.

With the additional connection on Mondays from Vienna and Wednesdays from Shanghai, Austrian is serving the continued strong demand for connections to and from China. The recently announced easing of the corona regulations in China shortens the quarantine times prescribed on site and thus makes it easier to travel in and out. The red-white-red airline is therefore implementing the increase in frequency to Shanghai planned for the summer flight schedule much earlier.

The Lufthansa subsidiary flies the Vienna-Shanghai route from January on Mondays and Fridays and the Shanghai-Vienna route on Mondays and Wednesdays with the largest aircraft in the fleet, a Boeing 777. The late departure in the evening with an early arrival time in Vienna at 04 a.m :45 o'clock allows transfer options in the Austrian route network.
