The insurance company Wiener Städtische, in cooperation with Flughafen Wien AG, now offers travel insurance that can be purchased when booking parking spaces or via the airport's free WLAN. For the time being it is a pilot project.

For the main travel season of July and August 2023, Vienna Airport is expecting around seven million passengers, which is just below the level of the record year 2019 and underlines that the need to travel has increased significantly again.
