The modernized and expanded Gebr. Heinemann duty-free shop was officially opened at Vienna Airport on September 17, 2024. The new shop in Terminal 1 offers a comprehensive range of regional products, fashion, accessories and luxury items on an area of 2.000 square meters. The new design, which is based on Vienna's Naschmarkt, is intended to improve the shopping experience for travelers.

The expansion includes new brands such as Steve Madden, Michael Kors and Armani Privé, as well as an expanded range of regional specialties such as Mozartkugeln and Viennese wine. Vienna Airport recorded record passenger numbers in the summer, which underlines the need for an expanded and modern shopping offer. The partnership between Gebr. Heinemann and Vienna Airport, which has existed since 2003, has been extended until 2034. A major expansion of the shopping experience is also planned with the opening of the Terminal South extension in 2027.
