The low-cost airline Wizz Air intends to offer Dubai and Abu Dhabi from Vienna-Schwechat in the future. The capital of the United Arab Emirates will initially be served twice a week from March 28, 2022.

The operational implementation of the flights is to be carried out by Wizz Air Hungary, which has a base in Vienna. The sale of tickets has already started. Abu Dhabi is also currently offered by Etihad Airways. In the past, the now defunct NIki flew briefly on this route.

Before the start of the Abu Dhabi flights, it goes to Dubai. This route is to be offered temporarily from February 11, 2022 to March 25, 2022. Up to three rounds per week are planned. A continuation is not currently planned, as the UAE is focusing on Abu Dhabi, where a regional branch is also maintained.

Paulina Gosk, spokeswoman for Wizz Air, said: “We are always happy to announce new destinations for our customers and to continuously expand our network. With a connection to the United Arab Emirates, we can offer an extraordinary travel destination and thus not only expand the Vienna base, but above all make air travel affordable for everyone. "

Well, if Wizzair would also fly from Linz, the whole thing would not be uninteresting 😁
