Wizz Air picks up where it left off: A new connection to Palma de Mallorca will start from Vienna on August 6th. The low-cost carrier is thus expanding the route network to include another destination. The route is served daily with an Airbus A321.

“It is a great pleasure for me to announce the start of the new route from Vienna to Palma de Mallorca. Today's announcement underscores our long-term commitment in Vienna and for the Austrian aviation market. Our goal is to offer our Austrian passengers more and more affordable travel options. We invite all travelers to discover these and other great European destinations with one of the youngest and most modern aircraft fleets and to enjoy the low tariffs and services on board Wizz Air ”, says Andras Rado, Corporate Communications Manager at Wizz Air.

The new route will be offered once a day from August 6, 2020. However, due to the landing bans issued by the Republic of Austria due to the corona pandemic, the carrier has to pause numerous routes or postpone announced new routes. Wizzair's extensive Balkan offer from Vienna and Salzburg is particularly affected.
