In the 2022/23 winter timetable, Austrian Airlines had non-stop flights between Berlin and Innsbruck in its portfolio for a few weeks. These were apparently well received, as Lufthansa is planning significantly more flights between the two airports for the upcoming 2023/24 ski season.

Last winter, AUA offered a weekly non-stop flight from Berlin to Innsbruck and back for a few weeks. In the upcoming cold season, this route will be used from December 23, 2023. What is also new is that up to two circulations per week are to be carried out.

Available flight plan data shows that the pair of routes OS281/282 is offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The aircraft will initially fly from Vienna to the German capital. Before the return flight to the home base, the Innsbruck rotations will be carried out on the days mentioned. The service of this route is limited until March 9, 2023.

The offer that Austrian Airlines last winter was also carried out with aircraft flown in from Vienna via Berlin. Since this route was only served a few times, it can be assumed that Austrian Airlines undertook a test run that went well. This is why the 2023/24 winter timetable is offering significantly more flights over a longer booking period.
