Condor, has made an announcement: From the end of October 2024, it will fly non-stop from Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) to Dubai. This new connection, a joint project with Emirates, will allow passengers to travel conveniently and directly between Berlin and Dubai. Condor will also operate under the Emirates flight number, which underlines a close partnership between the two airlines.
The flight numbers DE2500 and DE2501 will mark the non-stop flight between BER and Dubai from October 26, 2024. Once all regulatory approvals are received, Emirates will increase its codeshare presence on these flights, enabling seamless connectivity between both airlines' networks.
Condor plans to use its latest aircraft for this codeshare route, which has a flight time of 6 hours and 20 minutes. A Condor spokeswoman announced that the brand new A320neo is currently planned for this route. The flights are already available in the booking system, giving passengers the opportunity to plan and book their trips.
This decision underlines Condor's continuous striving to modernize and improve its service. The airline has been using its first A320neo, the D-ANCZ, since May and has at the same time improved the on-board product by separating business class more clearly from economy class with its own seats.
The partnership between Condor and Emirates began in November 2023 with an interlining agreement. The expansion into a codeshare partnership opens up new opportunities for both companies. Condor gains access to an expanded route network spanning Central Asia, Africa and India, while Emirates gains indirect access to the Berlin market via BER. This is particularly important as Emirates is currently only allowed to fly to four airports in Germany and the partnership with Condor will allow it to significantly expand its presence.
