The airline Wizz Air announces a new direct connection between the Bodensee Airport Friedrichshafen and the Serbian capital Belgrade. From June 2, 2025, the route will be served three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The flights depart from Friedrichshafen at 18:35 p.m. and land in Belgrade at 20:15 p.m.; the return flight departs at 16:15 p.m. and arrives at 18:00 p.m.

Belgrade is considered an important economic center and culturally attractive city travel destination in Southeast Europe. The city on the Danube impresses with a mixture of historical architecture, a lively old town and a diverse nightlife. With the new flight connection, the Serbian metropolis can be reached by travelers from the Lake Constance region in less than two hours.

Claus-Dieter Wehr, Managing Director of Bodensee Airport Friedrichshafen, expressed his delight at the route extension: "We are very pleased about the new route to Belgrade, which adds an exciting destination to our offering. It offers an ideal connection for the Serbian community in the region, but also for everyone who wants to discover this exciting city."

Friedrichshafen Airport, also known as Lake Constance Airport, is the southernmost commercial airport in Germany and serves not only the German Lake Constance region but also parts of Vorarlberg and eastern Switzerland. With the new connection to Belgrade, the airport is strengthening its position as an important hub for traffic between Central Europe and Southeastern Europe.
