From December 19, 2024, Wizz Air will offer a new connection between Nuremberg and the Moldovan capital Chișinău. The Hungarian airline will offer flights to the destination twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays. Tickets can already be booked.

The connection to Chișinău offers travelers from the Nuremberg metropolitan region a direct connection to the city, which has a population of around 530.000. Airport Managing Director Dr. Michael Hupe emphasizes that Wizz Air as an airline stands for international understanding and offers passengers an easy way to visit friends and family in Eastern Europe.

Andras Rado, Head of Communications and Government Affairs at Wizz Air, emphasises the importance of the new route for tourists and business travellers and announces further growth at Nuremberg Airport. In addition to Chișinău, other destinations such as Tirana in Albania, Skopje in North Macedonia and several Romanian cities will also be served in winter.
