From Stuttgart and Salzburg: Wizz Air starts Skopje flights

Low-cost airline Wizz Air will launch four new routes from Skopje from November 1, 2023. These are Salzburg, Stuttgart, Ljubljana and Luxembourg. The carrier has won a tender for public subsidies.

According to the terms of the tender, the four routes must be served at least three times a week and served for at least three years. Otherwise, the government of North Macedonia can reclaim the state support.

Stuttgart is completely new to the Wizz Air route network, as the carrier has not been active from this airport so far. Salzburg was briefly in the program in the summer of 2020, but it was withdrawn after a few flights and the comeback has been postponed again and again since then.
