The low-cost airline Wizzair integrated an interactive map on its homepage, which provides information about the current offer of the carrier, but also the entry requirements valid at the destination. The pink lowcoster wants to make it easier to plan air travel.
To use the card, passengers simply click on the desired departure airport and can then choose from all the available destinations in the Wizzair network. Countries and airports are color-coded depending on the restrictions - green means that there are no restrictions for entry by air, yellow means that there are partial restrictions (test / quarantine / residence) for entry by air and red means that there are total or partial air travel bans.
For more information on travel regulations, passengers can click on specific routes to access a country-specific travel information page that contains relevant links to local government websites, useful travel pages and any necessary forms to be completed prior to departure. The travel planning map is updated daily at 18:00 p.m. CET, but Wizzair recommends that passengers double-check the entry requirements before departure as they can change on a daily basis.
“We are always looking to improve the customer experience throughout the journey and on our website, and this new website search feature will make it easier for passengers to determine where they can and cannot go. We believe the Trip Planning Card will reduce passengers' concerns about traveling during these uncertain times by keeping them updated with the latest travel information so that passengers can continue to discover new and exciting destinations on the Wizz network. Our goal is simple: To make life easier through affordable travel and the travel planning card is another way to deliver on that promise for our customers, ”said Zsuzsa Poos, Chief Customer & Marketing Officer at Wizzair.
