Obviously, keeping your distance does not apply at Berlin-Brandenburg Airport in front of the passport control of the federal police. In social networks, shots that show people standing close together in a narrow space cause excitement.
Only two non-Schengen flights arrived in quick succession. But this already ensured that there was a dense crush in front of the immigration control. The airport's executive and security staff did not intervene. Berlin-Brandenburg Airport also downplays the incident, saying that this should not be the norm. An excuse was also given that a machine had arrived around an hour earlier than planned.
However, these conditions are not an isolated case, because at the Vienna-Schwechat airport, too, there are regular crowds during entry controls. Especially at the passport control for non-Schengen flights located in Terminal 3, it is structurally extremely cramped, so that distances can often not be maintained. Sometimes there are no floor markings.
