Zurich: Edelweiss stops flights to Havana

The Swiss airline Edelweiss will discontinue its flights from Zurich to Havana from March 2025. The last flight on this route is scheduled for February 27, 2025. The decision is based on declining demand and infrastructural challenges at Havana's José Martí International Airport, which make a reliable long-haul connection difficult in the long term.

Until the route is discontinued, flights will operate as usual once a week, every Thursday. Affected passengers will be contacted by Edelweiss or their travel agents to offer alternatives or to fully refund the ticket price.

The airline emphasizes that this decision was made after an intensive on-site review. They regret the inconvenience to customers and thank them for their understanding.
