The holiday airline Condor will carry out the commercial maiden flight with the aircraft type Airbus A330-200 later than originally planned. During the C-Check, defects were found that still need to be rectified, a spokeswoman confirmed to Airliners.de.
Condor is initially fleeing four Airbus A330-200s, which will also be used in preparation for the successor A330neo. According to a spokeswoman, so-called C-checks must be carried out before the takeover. The technicians found what they were looking for in at least one machine and had to remedy an unspecified defect.
At Condor, it is currently assumed that the first Airbus A330-200 can go into scheduled service at the beginning of February 2022. The leasing contracts for the four aircraft that previously flew for Etihad Airways will initially run for two years. From autumn 2022, Condor will receive the first A330neo.
