Around 90.000 passengers will use Memmingen Airport for a trip during the coming Easter holidays. The airport has thus reached the pre-Corona level of 2019.
"Many booked their trips early on," explains Airport Sales Manager Marcel Schütz. But there is good news for last-minute travelers, because there are still places available on some routes. Among other things, Ryanair still offers free seats on non-stop flights to Italy. With other destinations such as Brindisi, Palermo, Catania and Alghero on Sardinia, Memmingen has a very extensive range of offers in Italy this year. Other southern destinations are also represented in the flight schedule, such as the new connection to Santiago de Compostela in north-west Spain. Those who prefer the far north should consider Billund as a travel destination.
Eurowings will include Mallorca in its flight program from May
If you don't want to or don't have to travel during the Easter holidays, you can then use one of the most popular travel destinations for Germans: From May 3rd, Eurowings will fly non-stop from Memmingen to Mallorca. The trip to the island is then on the flight schedule on Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday. In any case, passengers do not have to do without Palme de Mallorca from Memmingen in April either. Because the Irish low-cost airline Ryanair flies passengers to the island up to eight times a week. With a total of up to 13 flights per week, Mallorca is one of the top destinations from Memmingen this year.
Marcel Schütz advises all travelers to plan enough time for departure at the airport. "It should be at least two hours." Because it is still necessary to check the respective entry forms. Travelers should find out in advance about the regulations in their destination country and fill out the necessary documents. It is also of great advantage to book the parking space at the airport online in advance.
