The German regional airport Weeze counted around 120.000 passengers during the recent autumn holidays. It also benefited greatly from travelers from the Netherlands who used this airport.
In the past four weeks, the airport welcomed around 120.000 passengers, many of them from the Netherlands. Due to the overlapping holiday periods in the neighboring country and in North Rhine-Westphalia, the season lasted significantly longer this year than at other airports (29.9.-30.10.22).
“The summer season, with its high number of passengers, went very well for us, there were no problems. The service processes have now worked perfectly again during the autumn holidays. "Our teams were once again able to welcome many satisfied guests," says Sebastian Papst, Managing Director at Weeze Airport.
The winter timetable will come into effect next Sunday, October 30, 2022. Up to 80 flights take off and land at Weeze Airport every week. The Irish airline Ryanair flies to 18 destinations, including the sunny Canary Islands of Lanzarote, Tenerife and Fuerteventura. With the Principality of Asturias in northern Spain, Ryanair is also offering a destination that will be served from Weeze for the first time. The corresponding flights take place on Thursdays and Sundays.
