The Greek regional airline Skyexpress has been looking for A320 pilots for a few weeks. Now the carrier has placed the first new order since July 2020 for the European aircraft manufacturer Airbus.
Skyexpress ordered four A320neo. Two further units are leased through the Aviation Capital Group. “Our collaboration with Airbus through the acquisition of six brand new A320neo aircraft is in line with our goal of modernizing our fleet and leading our company into a new era. The combination of the most advanced technology and the fuel efficiency that this type of aircraft offers are elements that fit perfectly with Skyexpress' business plan for a contemporary fleet that respects the environment and offers its passengers safe and high quality services, ”said owner Ioannis Grylos.
Airbus Sales Director Christian Scherer said: “It is good news that Skyexpress has selected the A320neo to expand its activities and objectives to an international European network. This is a bold step in the airline's development and we are proud to help ensure that the A320neo has the best performance in terms of fuel economy, CO2 emissions and noise and has a benchmark cabin.
