Despite criticism: Condor continues to rely on Marabu

Despite the sometimes strong criticism from affected passengers, Condor maintains that numerous routes in the 2023/24 winter flight schedule will be taken over by its sister company Marabu and its subcontractors. There are many routes from Hamburg, Munich, Stuttgart and Nuremberg.

For a few weeks now, passengers who had booked Condor flights (DE flight numbers) have been receiving information that their flights have changed. An email from Condor that a person concerned forwarded to Aviation.Direct shows that there is no explicit information that Marabu is now the operating carrier. In some cases this should only be recognizable by the current DI flight number.

Passengers who reject this rebooking to the Estonian sister company apparently have extremely different experiences. A lot seems to depend on the call center agent in question, as some of those affected report that they were able to cancel free of charge, while others were told that simply changing the flight number would not be recognized as a reason for cancellation.
