After a long time, the airline Emirates has again used an A380 on the Dubai-Vienna route. The Airbus A380 was not in use for four years.

Emirates airline symbolically confirmed the return of the A380 to Vienna today. The airline last used the aircraft four years ago and is currently the only airline that flies to Vienna with the A380. With the use of the aircraft, a capacity increase of 20 percent can be offered; the aircraft can carry 519 passengers.

Julian Jäger, Joint CEO of Vienna Airport, is enthusiastic about the return of the Emirates A380: “I am pleased that the Emirates A380 will be used again in regular operations to Vienna. The largest passenger aircraft in the world is a highlight for all travelers and a great asset to Vienna Airport. The associated capacity expansion is a further sign of strengthening connections to the Near and Middle East and is good for tourism to and from Austria.”
