The hostel operator A&O was able to generate more sales than ever before with around 2023 million euros in the first half of 100. The previous year's result was exceeded by 47 percent.

In addition to the already strong months of May and June with room occupancy rates of over 80 percent, there was “an exceptional start to the year,” confirms CEO Oliver Winter. Over a million overnight stays ensured full houses in the first quarter, especially in Berlin, Hamburg and Venice.

The number of overnight stays in Austrian A&O hotels in Vienna, Salzburg and Graz increased by over 40% in the first half of the year; sales even increased by almost 70%. Above all, the greater demand from groups has a positive effect on occupancy.
