Those climate adhesives that illegally entered the security area of Hamburg Airport on July 13, 2023 will now be asked to pay by the operator. The self-proclaimed climate protectors are demanding up to 550.000 euros.

First of all, it's about the costs that were directly incurred. This is 150.000 euros. The airport also wants to claim the repair costs for the cut fence and damage that occurred on the apron. Loss of earnings is also claimed for lost landing fees. However, the airport wants to wait for the outcome of the ongoing criminal proceedings before filing civil lawsuits.
